LET'S MEET THE GOATS ...
Welcome to our lovely corner of Devon, where we are pleased to introduce you to our delightful Royal Golden Guernsey goats, affectionately known as The Ginger Goats!
These charming characters are sure to steal your heart with their unique looks and delightful personalities.
Let me introduce them – we can’t wait for you to experience their warmth and playfulness!

Happy Ginger Goats
Here are some of our herd of Ginger Goats, grazing in one of our paddocks. Goats are generally not grazers like sheep, but prefer more coarse land. Nettles, brambles, ferns, willow and hedges are just a few of their favourites.
We are lucky, as are our wildlife, because we don't need machinery to keep our hedges trimmed, the goats do it for us which means the nesting birds and other wildlife are not disturbed at any time throughout the year.

Gorgeous Genevieve
Introducing our herd ...
one goat at a time
Introducing Genevieve, our exceptional breeding female, who plays a pivotal role in our goat farming venture and the production of exquisite handmade soap. With her outstanding lineage and gentle temperament, Genevieve not only contributes to our herd's genetic diversity but also ensures a steady supply of high-quality milk. This milk, rich in nutrients, forms the basis of our luxurious soaps, offering a natural and nourishing experience for our customers. As we nurture Genevieve and her offspring, we are committed to sustainable practices that support the local environment, bringing you the finest goat milk soaps crafted with care and love right here in the heart of Britain.

Introducing the head of our herd ... Valentine
This is Morwellham Valentine, our original billy goat whom we purchased in 2015. He is a huge character and so incredibly gentle. He will happily take any of the young males under his beard and show them how to behave. All of Valentine's kids have inherited his gentle nature.
Beech Meadow Derrick
Meet Derrick ...
Meet one of our 2025 goat kids, Derrick. He was born at the end of May 2025, ten weeks after our first kid was born. Unfortunately his mum passed away when he was just three days old, which left us to care for him. He was bottle-fed and looked after inside the house for the first few weeks, taking time out for his first journey - to the Royal Cornwall Show - where he was very popular.
After a few weeks of being with us humans and the dogs, we gradually introduced him into the herd so he could become a proper goat. He's now a happy goat and part of the herd.

Coppergon Ozzy
Ozzy is a new addition to our herd and was purchased from the Coppergon herd in January 2026. He is incredibly friendly, handsome and, has settled into the herd well. He loves jumping on and off the small trampoline that we have in the shed.
Born 20 February 2026
Introducing Beechmeadow Henry and Hazel who were born on the afternoon of 20th February 2026.
Henry was born first at 14.44 and then Hazel was born two hours later at 16.48. Both were healthy and up on their feet and looking for their first feed very quickly. Mum, Genevieve, has been amazing with them. Both kids are polled like their mum, which means they won't grow horns.

Beech Meadow Hazel
Introducing Beechmeadow Hazel who was born on 20th February 2026, and is sister to Henry (who we will introduce next).
Hazel is a very inquisitive goat and seems to bounce everywhere. She is happy and content, and enjoys watching the other goats from the security from her pen, where she will stay until she is a little older and bigger.
